Fall is here, and I am thriving
For those who live in the north, we get to experience one of the years most magical changes. The leaves changing color from the beautiful green to the most vibrant reds, yellows and orange colors. Every year it takes my breath away. If you have never seen the leaves change in the north, it should be on your bucket list. Take a solo travel weekend to Michigan or anywhere where you can see the vibrant colors. The trees put on a show.
When summer starts to fade and the colder weather rolls in, it is always a time for me to re-focus my energy. Summer in Michigan is one of the best times of year. Everyone is outside playing, at the beach, and camping. With that brings a very busy schedule. As the colder weather comes in, school has started again, and the leaves begin to change, it turns into a time to focus. Assess my mental and physical needs, and take inventory of what needs to be done around the house this winter. Fall is a time to recover from the busy summer season, and to take in the beauty that nature provides.
The change in season says, slow down, take it all in. I took a walk yesterday and marveled at the beautiful colors. I let my mind wander as I took deep breaths of the cool and crisp fresh air. I was reminded that I need to live in the present, to focus on the here and now and to follow my intuition. I reminded myself that even in the bad times, or the stressful times, that I am thriving.
The change in season has such an impact on my mental state, in a great way. The majesty of the colors, and the crisp air reminds me that I have a purpose. Whether you are experiencing the changing colors or not, go outside and take a walk. Take in the splendor this world has to offer. Remember that you are thriving. Take your mental inventory, and remind yourself that you are capable and worthy.
You are thriving and so am I. :)
Love and Happiness to all,
